Aneu fent gana perquè el 15 de març farem la calçotada més esperada d’Escòcia!

El tiquet inclou accés al recinte, calçots, salsa, pa amb tomàquet i fuet, i fruita. Tot preparat amb moltes ganes pels voluntaris del Centre Català i la Colla Castellera d’Edinburgh.

Al bar, hi haurà postres i begudes fredes i calentes a preus populars. També vendrem gots reutilitzables, però, com sempre, podeu portar els vostres de casa.

Us animem a portar aperitiu per matar el cuquet mentre es couen els calçots, o carn per fer a la brasa (hi haurà una barbacoa a la vostra disposició).

Volem que la calçotada sigui una festa popular així que demanem la vostra ajuda durant la trobada. Necessitarem mans i energia per moure taules, destriar deixalles i mantenir l'espai en bones condicions.

HORARIS

12-1 pm: Arribada, aperitiu. Preparació de la zona taules. 

1-3 pm: Dinar

3-5 pm: Cafès, postres, ratafia. Recollida col·lectiva de la zona del foc i taules. 

5-6 pm: Música, ball

6-7 pm: Neteja final col·lectiva 

Informació important:

Aquest any la calçotada serà en un espai exterior (cobert, però fred). Porteu vestimenta adequada.

No es pot aparcar dins del recinte. Podeu arribar a Bridgend Farmhouse en autobús fàcilment des del centre d’Edimburg.

Pels que veniu amb criatures, recordeu que hi haurà foc a terra - us demanem maxima atenció i col·laboració per evitar accidents.

Per motius de llicència només es permet el consum de begudes alcohòliques obtingudes al bar.

No es permet fumar en cap zona del recinte (interior i exterior).

Get ready because on March 15th we’ll be hosting the most anticipated calçotada in Scotland!

The ticket includes access to the venue, calçots, sauce, pa amb tomàquet, fuet and fruit. All lovingly prepared by volunteer members of Scotland's Catalan Centre and Colla Castellera d’Edinburgh.

You'll be able to buy desserts and cold and hot drinks at affordable prices from the bar. We’ll also be selling reusable cups, but we encourage you to bring your own from home.

Feel free to bring appetizers to snack on while the calçots cook, or bring your own meat for the grill (a barbecue will be available for your use).

We want the calçotada to be a popular celebration, so we ask for your help during the event. We will need hands and energy to move tables, sort waste, and keep the space in good condition.

SCHEDULE

12-1 pm: Arrival, aperitiu. Preparing the lunch area. 

1-3 pm: Lunch

3-5 pm: Coffee, desserts, ratafia. Collective cleanup of the fire and tables areas.

5-6 pm: Music and dance

6-7pm: Final collective cleanup 

Important Information:

This year, the calçotada will take place in an outdoor space (covered, but cold). Please bring appropriate clothing.

Bridgend Farmhouse can be easily reached by bus from Edinburgh city centre.

For those of you coming with children, please remember there will be open fire pits— we ask for your utmost attention and cooperation to avoid accidents.

We will be taking photos and videos during the event for promotion and documentation purposes. If you have any concerns about being included, please contact us beforehand at escociacc@gmail.com.

For licensing reasons, only alcoholic drinks purchased at the bar are allowed.

Smoking is not permitted in any area of the venue (both indoor and outdoor)

The Festival Òmnium de Cinema celebrates contemporary cinema in the Catalan language. Curated by Òmnium Cultural, the festival takes place simultaneously in various venues worldwide. In 2025, the Centre Català d'Escòcia will bring this vibrant event to Scotland for the second consecutive year.

Join us at the University of Edinburgh for an evening screening of short films showcasing emerging talent from Catalonia and other Catalan-speaking regions. The program will feature both fiction and documentary films in Catalan, with English subtitles. At the end of the event, the audience will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite short film, contributing to the international selection of the winner.

Ens trobarem a la Universitat de Glasgow per un vespre de curtmetratges on veurem una selecció dels millors talents cinematogràfics dels Països Catalans. La mostra inclou curts tant de ficció com documentals, en català i subtítols en anglès. Al final de l'esdeveniment, l'audiència podrà triar el seu curt preferit i participar així a les votacions internacionals del premi del públic.

Let's celebrate the Catalan National Day in Scotland!

Celebrate Catalonia's National Day (Onze de setembre) joining CCE on a hike 🥾. We will meet in Stirling and head to Dumyat, a small hill in the Ochils range. We will adapt the pace to make sure everyone can follow👣. After an 8.5km hike, we will recover our strengths with some food and drinks. If you prefer, you can join us at the pub directly!
